Chicago Spurs and Atlantic Raise Money for Street Soccer
On Wednesday November 11th from 5pm-9 pm, the Chicago Spurs and the Atlantic Bar and Grill invited the Chicago community to a charity event to raise money for Street Soccer USA Chicago. During the evening Chicago Spurs board Chairman Rick Davison and Treasurer Cesare Lasorella acted as guest Bartenders at the Atlantic serving drinks to all patrons at the bar that evening. All of the tips earned during the evening were donated to Street Soccer USA Chicago.
During the entirety of the event Chicago Spurs and the Atlantic Bar were able to raise a total of $338.00 for Street Soccer Chicago! This money will be put to good use to the support disadvantaged youth who are represented by Street Soccer. Otto Rodriguez from Street Soccer indicated this donation would be used to enter a team in a community league making Chicago Spurs an informal sponsor.
Street Soccer USA is an organization committed to building positive communities and personal growth of the people it serves through growing street soccer in urban areas. Known for its work on the Homeless World Cup, Street Soccer focuses on the people it serves achieving personal goals in areas of improved health, education, and employment outcomes for the most disadvantaged American youth. Street Soccer-Chicago serves homeless young adults with a focus on the Latino community. Street Soccer uses soccer as a means to build confidence and life skills for the people it serves.
Chicago Spurs are the official supporters club of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in Chicago. Chicago Spurs as a club has made a commitment to increased service to the Chicago community throughout the Premier League season.
